  The Lady Eagles received assists from Ash­lyn Robil­lard, Own Goal, Lau­ren Moats and Kristin Miller. Mad­die Chan­dler and Kelsey Haist had assists.

Nixa sec­ond at con­fer­ence tour­ney (Ten­nis roundup)

  BRAN­SON — Nixa fin­ished as runner-up at the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion Ten­nis Tour­na­ment on Wednes­day. The Car­di­nals were one-half point behind first-place Webb City.
  The Eagles’ Devin McDow­ell was the No. 2 sin­gles champ. Josh Dou­blin and Con­nor Bur­ton were sec­ond at No. 5 and No. 6 sin­gles. Char­lie Fen­wick and Brad Barn­hardt, along with Dou­blin and Bur­ton, were sec­ond at No. 2 and No. 3 dou­bles.
Lib­er­a­tors beat Bran­son
  Boli­var downed Bran­son 6–3 on Thurs­day to improve its dual record to 12–3.
  Alex Tal­ley was a win­ner in sin­gles and dou­bles play.
Neosho blanks Mon­ett
  Neosho shut out Mon­ett 9–0 to up its dual record to 8–5.
  The Wild­cats’ Matt Gar­rity was an 8–0 No. 2 sin­gles win­ner, as was Gar­rity and Bo Mahr at No. 1 dou­bles and Joey Cum­ming and Evan Clark at No. 2 doubles.

Ozark takes both 4 x 200 relays (Track roundup)

   BRAN­SON — Ozark swept the 4 x 200 relay at the Super Con­fer­ence Track Meet on Fri­day.
  The meet was halted after 14 events due to rain and light­ning.
  Ozark won the boys 4 x 200 relay (1:32) and the girls 4 x 200 relay (1:51). The boys 4 x 200 relay was made up of Hunter Tremain, Tyler Cal­houn, Eric Lueb­bert and Sky­lar Ver­futh. The girls 4 x 200 relay included Lau­ren Bos­t­ian, Stormie Carter, Syd­ney Potts and Saman­tha Dex­ter. The Lady Tigers’ Ellie Schmidly took first in the 100 hur­dles (17.52) and Josie Dyke was first in the 100 (12.97).
  Host Bran­son received firsts from Cameron Chancey in the 110 hur­dles (15.12) and Michael Dap­prich in the dis­cus (130−2).
  Bolivar’s girls 4 x 800 relay (10:09) that included Delaney Peter­son, Amanda Light­foot, Ash­ley Law­son and Rachel Schrader was vic­to­ri­ous.
  Nixa’s Steven Hynds was first in the shot put (49−8.75).

  The Eagles’ Brad Barn­hardt was an 8–1 sin­gles win­ner and Josh Dou­blin and Char­lie Fen­wick teamed for an 8–5 dou­bles vic­tory.
  Neosho’s Evan Clark was an 8–1 sin­gles win­ner and Jere­miah Jen­nings was an 8–2 sin­gles winners.

Pirates, Tigers Blue & Gold cham­pi­ons again

  Bran­son three-peated and Ozark repeated as cham­pi­ons at the 64th Annual Blue & Gold Tour­na­ment on Wednes­day.
  The No. 2 seeded Pirates downed top-seeded Nixa 66–51 in the Blue Divi­sion title tilt. Avery Ding­man scored a game-high 24 points, Sam Pugh posted 16 points and eight assists and Dana Thomas had 11 points. Nixa was led by Kameron Bundy’s 10 points.
  The No. 1 seeded Tigers beat No. 2 seed Spring­field Hill­crest 65–58 in the Gold Divi­sion cham­pi­onship game. Seth Arnold fired in 17 points, Thomas Ligion added 16 and Isa­iah Mon­roe con­tributed 15.
  The COC has had at least one cham­pion at the Blue & Gold Tour­na­ment the past 15 years.

Webb City’s Steever, John­son claim four firsts

  WEBB CITY — Webb City’s swim team beat Spring­field Hill­crest 108–59, downed Carthage 106–62 and lost to Nixa 97–83 in duals action on Tues­day.
  The Lady Car­di­nals received firsts in all three duals from Ash­ley John­son in the 200 freestyle (2:09.47) and 500 freestyle (5:31.22), Brit­tany Steever in the 50 freestyle (26.69) and 100 but­ter­fly (1:11.12), Erica Logal in the 100 breast­stroke (1:16.89) and Steever, John­son, Olivia Weaver and Logal in the 400 relay (4:17.82) and 200 med­ley relay (2:09.28).
  Nixa’s Anna Brink was first in the 200 indi­vid­ual med­ley (2:23.93) and 100 freestyle (57.53), as was Marisa Fra­zier in the 100 back­stroke (1:09.42), Aubrie Led­ford in the 1-meter div­ing (144.45 points) and Brink, Led­ford, Frankie Lef­fert and Rachel Sav­age in the 200 relay (1:58.05).

Ding­man, Pirates beat Ozark (Boys bas­ket­ball roundup)

  BRAN­SON — Avery Ding­man over­came foul trou­bles to score a game-high 29 points in Branson’s 73–60 Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion win over Ozark on Tues­day.
  Ding­man, who had four fouls, hit four 3-pointers, includ­ing a pair of first-quarter treys that helped the Pirates (13−1 over­all and 1–1 in the COC) break out to a 23–8 lead. Tee Helsel added 17 points while also hit­ting four 3s and Dana Thomas col­lected 15 points and nine rebounds.
  Ozark received a com­bined 45 points from its back­court of Seth Arnold and Isa­iah Mon­roe. Arnold had 15 of his 26 points in the sec­ond half. Mon­roe had 19 points.
  The Tigers were minus cen­ter Tom Ligion, who sat out the con­test due to a staph infec­tion.
  In other games on Tues­day:
   — Neosho edged COC Large Schools Divi­sion foe Repub­lic 58–56 in over­time.
  Corey Cran­dall topped the Wild­cats with 20 points, while Michael Lowe had 15 and Jake Mid­dle­ton 10.
  — Reeds Spring ral­lied for a 52–47 tri­umph over Spring­field Catholic in a matchup of COC Small Schools Divi­sion mem­bers.
  The Wolves (6−4 and 1–0) erupted for 25 points in the third quar­ter, after trail­ing 22–10 at half­time. Ben Selby had a team-high 15 points.
  The loss halted Catholic’s five-game win­ning streak. The Irish (7−4 and 0–1) received 14 points apiece from Jack Wolf and Chad McBride.
  — At Nixa, Nixa downed Carthage 57–40 in a COC Large Schools Divi­sion matchup.
  The Eagles received 13 points from Seth Mat­lock and 10 from Zac Hill while improv­ing to 14–1 over­all and 2–0 in con­fer­ence play. They outscored the Tigers 20–2 from the free-throw line.
  Nixa led 15–3 after the first quar­ter. Carthage actu­ally outscored the hosts 24–22 over the sec­ond and third quar­ters.
  Carthage received a dozen points from Keith Lawrie, 11 from Cody Caster and 10 from Lane Stephens. 
  Nixa hosts Kansas City Prep Hogan at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

  Austin Rud­der net­ted four treys in his 15-point effort, Jor­dan Keeney scored 12 points and Seth Mat­lock and Ben Fisher had 10 apiece.
  The 15–1 Eagles vis­its Spring­field Kick­apoo on Tuesday.

Peltier attends USA Youth National Team try­outs

  Nixa sopho­more Regan Peltier attended the USA Vol­ley­ball High Per­for­mance Indoor eval­u­a­tions in Col­orado Springs, Co., as an invited train­ing mem­ber Dec. 26-Jan. 1.
  Play­ers were invited to the try­outs in prepa­ra­tion for the U.S. Girls Youth Train­ing Team’s trip to the NORCECA Girls Youth Con­ti­nen­tal Cham­pi­onship April 3–11 in Guatemala. 
  Pel­ter emerged as a first-alternate at mid­dle blocker for the 12-person team.

   SPRING­FIELD — A rocky start on Tues­day couldn’t keep Nixa from its 17th win of the sea­son, a 72–60 tri­umph over Spring­field Kick­apoo.
  The Eagles trailed 10–2, but responded to a time­out by reel­ing off 17 unan­swered points.
  Nixa improved to 17–1. 
  Else­where on Tues­day:
  — At Repub­lic, Kevin Stander’s 21 points helped Repub­lic beat Way­nesville 72–57 on Tues­day.
  Jonathon Combs added 16 points, Nick Yocum had 15, Dylan Fletcher con­tributed nine and Josh Mor­row eight for the Tigers.
  Repub­lic led through­out, post­ing 21 points in the first quar­ter en route to gain­ing a 37–22 half­time advan­tage.
  — Neosho lost to Joplin 63–46.
  Corey Crandall’s 14 points paced the Wild­cats.
  —  Reeds Spring ral­lied from an eight-point half­time deficit to knock off Ava 68–61.
  The Wolves (7−5) erupted for 25 points in the third quar­ter. 
  Ben Selby topped the win­ners with 24 points, while Alex Engish had 18 and Chris Jones posted 16 points and seven blocks.

Lady Car­di­nals No. 1 in Class 5

  Webb City’s girls bas­ket­ball team is atop this week’s Class 4 poll in this Mis­souri Sports­writ­ers and Sports­cast­ers Association’s state rank­ings.
  The Lady Car­di­nals are 15–1. 
  In Class 5, Nixa is 13–2 and ranked No. 2. 
  The Lady Car­di­nals and Lady Eagles will meet Feb. 12 at Nixa.
  The Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion is rep­re­sented in the boys poll by Bran­son and Nixa. The Pirates are 15–1 and ranked No. 5 in Class 5 and the Eagles are 16–1 record and ranked No. 8 in Class 5.

Neosho knocks off Mt. Ver­non (Boys bas­ket­ball roundup)

  NEOSHO — Neosho downed non-conference foe Mt. Ver­non 53–45 on Fri­day.
  The Wild­cats were led by Corey Crandall’s 16 points, Michael Lowe’s 15 and Alex Wise’s 10.
  Else­where on Fri­day:
  — Spring­field Catholic fell to host Spokane 59–41 in a semi­fi­nal at the Spokane Tour­na­ment.
  Jack Wolf had 10 points for the Irish.
  — Repub­lic edged Reeds Spring 56–53.
  Josh Morrow’s 21 points and Kevin Stander’s 20 paced the Tigers. The Wolves received 15 points from Kyle Fleck and 10 apiece from Mar­cus John­son and Chris Jones.
  — Bran­son downed Webb City 70–55 in second-round action at the Webb City Clas­sic.
  — Nixa downed Rogersville 64–39 behind Ben Fisher’s 19 points.
  — Carthage’s Keith Lawrie net­ted 25 points to lead the Tigers past Aurora 64–55.
  Lawrie was 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-6 at the free-throw line. Lane Stephens added 14 points and Ethan Wig­gins nine for the winners.

  Webb City’s girls bas­ket­ball team is still atop the Mis­souri Sports­writ­ers and Sports­cast­ers Association’s Class 4 state rank­ings.
  The Lady Car­di­nals are 15–1 enter­ing their trip Fri­day to Bran­son.
  In the Class 5 poll, Nixa is No. 2. The Lady Eagles are 15–2.
  On the boys side, Bran­son is No. 4 and Nixa No. 6 in the Class 5 rank­ings. The Pirates are 17–2 and the Eagles 17–1.

Luko among nation’s top shoot­ers (Girls bas­ket­ball alumni)

  Nixa grad Ash­ley Luko is ranked sec­ond in NAIA D-I in 3-point field-goal per­cent­age. Despite a recent 2-of-8 slump beyond the arc, the Evan­gel guard is 33-of-64 on her 3-point attempts (.515). 
  Luko is aver­ag­ing 13.8 points a game.
  Other COC alumni far­ing well at the col­lege level include:
  — Nixa grad Mor­gan Smith is aver­ag­ing 16.8 points a game as a fresh­man for­ward at Col­lege of the Ozarks. 
  Smith, who also played at Marsh­field, is shoot­ing 52 per­cent from the field and has posted double-figure scor­ing in 17 of 19 games.
  — Boli­var grad Casey Gar­ri­son tops Mis­o­suri State with a 19.1 scor­ing aver­age, 109 assists and an aver­age of 36.4 min­utes played.
  — Marsh­field grad Lacey Boshe has had norms of 9.9 points and 3.8 rebounds for the Lady Bears.
  — Hol­lis­ter grad Bre­anna Daniels is aver­ag­ing 12.1 points and 4.2 rebounds a game as a sopho­more for­ward at Tru­man State.
  — Marsh­field grad Kayla Mes­sick tops C of O with 53 assists and has hit 25 3-pointers while aver­ag­ing 5.3 points a game.
  — Willard grad Megan Jew­ell has also hit 25 treys for C of O while aver­ag­ing 5.4 points a game.

Eagles take two in one day

  NIXA — After hav­ing the sec­ond round of the Nixa Invi­ta­tional on Fri­day post­poned due to snow, the tourney’s four teams played two games on Sat­ur­day and the host Eagles emerged as cham­pi­ons.
  Nixa edged Mt. Ver­non 46–44 in semi­fi­nal action. The Eagles hit all eight of their free-throw attempts to seal their win.
  In the cham­pi­onship game, Nixa downed Kansas City O’Hara, ranked No. 2 in Class 4, 72–45. The Eagles scored 26 points in the first quar­ter and 25 in the fourth quar­ter.
  Ben Fisher had a team-high 15 points, while Zac Hill had 14, Kameron Bundy 11 and Jalen Nor­man 10.
  Nixa is 20–1 enter­ing its home game on Fri­day with Republic.

  SPRING­FIELD — Bekah Bade broke loose for 27 second-half points en route to a 33-point per­for­mance in Spring­field Catholic’s 64–58 win over Sey­mour on Mon­day.
  Bade net­ted 19 points in the third quar­ter alone. She fin­ished with eight 3-pointers.
  Danielle Lampe added 13 points for the Lady Irish.

  — Nixa downed Marsh­field 65–28.
  The Lady ‘Jays fell to 11–7, while the Lady Eagles improved to 16–2.

  — Neosho lost to Nevada 56–46.

Lady Cards have two 3-time win­ners (Swim­ming)

  WEBB CITY — Webb City’s Erica Logal and Ash­ley John­son claimed three firsts while help­ing the Lady Car­di­nals cap­ture third place at the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Swim Meet on Fri­day.
  Logal won the 100 breast­stroke (1:13.31) and 200 freestyle (2:20.03) and teamed with John­son, Caitlin Isaac and Brit­tany Steever to win the 200 med­ley relay (2:03.45). John­son won the 200 indi­vid­ual med­ley (2:24.52) and 500 freestyle (5:36.87). Her mar­gin of vic­tory in the 500 freestyle was 51 sec­onds.
  Nixa, which won the team title, received firsts from Anna Brinck in the 100 freestyle (56.12) and its 200 freestyle relay (1:50.38). Brinck beat Steever by a tenth of a sec­ond.
  Runner-up Ozark saw Ash­ley Short take first in the 100 but­ter­fly (1:06.73) and 100 back­stroke (1:11.26) and its 400 freestyle relay claim gold (4:21.30).
  Marshfield’s Jes­sica Stepp was the 1-meter div­ing champ (334.95 points).
  John­son set two meet records, while Logal, Brinck and Nixa’s 200 freestyle relay also estab­lished new meet marks.

Nixa’s Keeney among those to sign let­ters of intent

  Nixa’s Jor­dan Keeney will con­tinue his foot­ball career at Cen­tral Mis­souri State, after sign­ing a let­ter of intent with the Mules.
  Keeney, the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion Offen­sive Player of the Year last fall, is expected to stay at run­ning back for Cen­tral Mis­souri State.
  The Eagles’ Skyler Brown, an offen­sive line­man, signed with Ottawa (Kan.).
  Ozark’s Tom Ligion signed with Arkansas State’s track team and hopes to com­pete in the decathalon.
  The Tigers’ Keaton Pat­ter­son, a line­backer, signed to play foot­ball at South­west Bap­tist.
  Carthage’s Trevor Hole signed with Evan­gel and plans to play foot­ball and com­pete in track.

Pirates, Lady Eagles named No. 1 seeds

  SPRING­FIELD — A pair of Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion teams, Branson’s boys and Nixa’s girls, were awarded top seeds at the Class 5 Dis­trict 11 seed­ings meet­ing on Fri­day.
  On the boys side, the Pirates were named No. 1 for the sec­ond straight sea­son. They won last year’s dis­trict cham­pi­onship and are 21–2 enter­ing their home con­est with Neosho on Fri­day.
  The rest of the field includes No. 2 Nixa, No. 3 Spring­field Parkview, No. 4 Ozark, No. 5 Spring­field Kick­apoo and No. 6 Spring­field Glen­dale.
  First-round games will include Parkview-Glendale and Ozark-Kickapoo. Bran­son and Nixa will receive a first-round bye.
  On the girls side, Nixa was also named No. 1 for a sec­ond straight sea­son. The Lady Eagles (19−1 enter­ing Friday’s shodown with COC rival Webb City) won last year’s dis­trict title en route to a state cham­pi­onship.
  The rest of the field is made up of No. 2 Kick­apoo, No. 3 Parkview, No. 4 Glen­dale, No. 5 Ozark and No. 6 Bran­son.
  First-round games will be Branson-Parkview and Ozark-Glendale. Nixa and Kick­apoo get a first-round bye.
  The dis­trict will be held Feb. 22–27 at Parkview. The cham­pi­onship games will not be held on the same night, as they were last year at Ozark. The girls title game will be Feb. 26 and the boys finale is set for Feb. 27.

COC to be rep­re­sented at state by 17 dis­trict champs

  The Cen­tral Ozark Large Schools Divi­sion is send­ing 56 state-qualifiers to the Class 3 State Wrestling Tour­na­ment this week in Colum­bia and the Small Schools Divi­sion will have 19 state-qualifiers at the Class 2 State Wrestling Tour­na­ment.
  The COC Large Schools Divi­sion and Small Schools Divi­sion had a com­bined 17 dis­trict cham­pi­ons crowned this past week­end. Ozark, Willard and Boli­var all had three first-place fin­ish­ers.
  Ozark’s Chass 3 Dis­trict 3 champs include 130-pound sopho­more Colton How­ell (44−1), 112-pound sopho­more Dmitry Loftis (38−6) and 145-pound junior Tren­ton Pat­ter­son (34−8). The Tigers have a state-qualifier at all 14 weight classes.
  Willard’s Class 3 Dis­trict 3 champs are 152-pound senior Tay­lor Ball (27−3), 215-pound senior Joel Wyman (40−1) and 285-pound sopho­more Chris­t­ian Adams (30−9). The Tigers have five state-qualifiers.
  Bolivar’s Class 2 Dis­trict 3 champs are 119-pound senior Eric Hughes (38−1), 160-pound senior Joshua Mof­fett (42−6) and 171-pound senior Kyle Walker (32−10). The Lib­er­a­tors have five state-qualifiers.
  Carthage has a pair of Class 3 Dis­trict 4 champs, 112-pound junior Nate Kelly (35−7) and 119-pound fresh­man Tyler Fea­gans (39−1). The Tigers have four state-qualifiers.
  Reeds Spring has two Class 2 Dis­trict 3 champs, 135-pound sopho­more Steven Morey (40−0) and 285-pound senior Kale Crosby (38−1). The Wolves have seven state-qualifiers.
  Neosho has one Class 3 Dis­trict 4 champ, 171-pound junior Blake Stauf­fer (48−1). The Wild­cats have 13 state-qualifiers.
  Rogersville has one Class 2 Dis­trict 3 champ, 130-pound senior Sam Zim­mer (44−2). He is a two-time state cham­pion. The Wild­cats have four state-qualifiers.

Four COC teams to play for dis­trict titles

  Bran­son, Nixa, Repub­lic and Reeds Spring will square off on Sat­ur­day for dis­trict titles after all four posted semi­fi­nal wins on Thurs­day.
  In Class 5 Dis­trict 11 at Spring­field Parkview, the Pirates whipped Spring­field Kick­apoo 73–41 and the Eagles out­lasted Spring­field Parkview 60–48.  
  Bran­son received 23 points and 13 rebounds from Dana Thomas and 18 points from Tee Helsel.
  Bran­son and Nixa will tan­gle at 6 p.m. on Sat­ur­day.
  In Class 4 Dis­trict 11 at Repub­lic, the host Tigers whipped McDon­ald County 65–30 and the Wolves slipped past Cassville 62–54.
  Ben Selby’s 19 points paced Reeds Spring.
  Repub­lic and Reeds Spring will meet on Sat­ur­day at 2 p.m.

Nixa, Repub­lic cap­ture dis­trict titles (Boys bas­ket­ball roundup)

  SPRING­FIELD — Nixa claimed the Class 5 Dis­trict 11 cham­pi­onship by beat­ing Bran­son 62–47 in an all-Central Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion final on Sat­ur­day.
  For Bran­son (24−4), the 47 points is a season-low.
  Nixa’s defense held the Pirates to 22 second-half points.
  Zac Hill topped the Eagles with 18 points. Avery Ding­man paced Bran­son with 21.
  Else­where on Sat­ur­day:
  — Repub­lic came back to win the Class 4 Dis­trict 11 cham­pi­onship in its 43–33 tri­umph over fel­low Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Small Schools Divi­sion mem­ber Reeds Spring.  
  The Tigers trailed 25–14 in the third quar­ter, before turn­ing the game around. Nic Yocum trig­gered the win­ners’ rally, scor­ing all 15 of his points in the sec­ond half.
  Reeds Spring received 16 points from Ben Selby. The Wolves scored 13 second-half points.

Lady Car­di­nals’ Jaeger COC Large Schools Divi­sion Player of the Year

  Webb City junior Kaitlin Jaeger has been named the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion Player of the Year in a vote of league coaches.
  Jaeger is joined on the All-COC First-Team by team­mates Hai­ley Roderique and Kyn­dal Clark, along with Nixa’s Bethany Fun­der­burke and Emily Walker.
  The Second-Team is made up of Willard’s Sam­mie Gath­er­cole, Nixa’s Randa Raper, Republic’s Kayce Duvall, Ozark’s Melanie Williams and Branson’s Kristina Dodd.
  Hon­or­able men­tion recog­ni­tion goes to Branson’s Cai­lynn Hayter, Webb City’s Scharenda Camp­bell, Carthage’s Kaylee Mor­gan and Ozark’s Han­nah Gomez.

Nixa falls in Red & Blue finale (Base­ball roundup)

  SPRING­FIELD — Nixa’s base­ball team lost 5–2 to Green­wood (Ark.) in the Blue Divi­sion cham­pi­onship game at the Red & Blue Tour­na­ment on Sat­ur­day.
  The Eagles fell to 7–2. Green­wood, ranked No. 1 in Class AAAAA in Arkansas, is 17–0.
  Nixa totaled 36 runs in pool play wins over Moun­tain Home, Spring­field Hill­crest and Neosho. Sopho­more Dean Deetz pitched a no-hitter in his first var­sity start while beat­ing Hillcrest. 

Pirates whip Odessa
  At Bran­son on Fri­day, the Pirates clob­bered Odessa 12–7.
  Mike Comp­ton banged out three dou­bles and a triple and Tee Helsel had three hits for the Pirates.

  NIXA — Nixa’s soc­cer team col­lected a trio of wins over the week­end while upping its record to 7–1. The Lady Eagles beat Har­ri­son (Ark.) 7–1, shut out Rogersville 4–0 and edged Dubourg 2–1 in penalty-kicks.
  Rachel Mur­phy and Owen Goal both had two goals and one assists ver­sus Har­ri­son. Mur­phy also had a goal against Dubourg. Lau­ren Moats, Jo Pavlowsky, Brit­tany Kirk­patrick and Kelsey Bartell scored oppo­site Rogersville.
  Nixa hosts Spring­field Kick­apoo on Monday.

  The Eagles swept dou­bles play, win­ning by an 8–0 count in each match. Josh Dou­blin, Char­lie Fen­wick, Blake McDow­ell and Brad Barn­hardt all won in sin­gles and dou­bles.
  The Eagles shut out Mon­ett 9–0 on Wednes­day. They lost only five games in sin­gles play.
Neosho falls to Ozark
  At Ozark on Thurs­day, Neosho dropped a 7–2 deci­sion to the Tigers.
  The Wild­cats’ Matt Gar­rity won 8–1 at No. 2 sin­gles and teamed with Bo Mahr for a 9–7 win at No. 1 doubles. Neosho fell to 5–2 over­all and 2–2  in the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Division.

  Gar­rity won at No. 2 sin­gles over Tim Daniels 8–4 and teamed with Bo Mahr for an 8–5 win at No. 1 dou­bles over Jor­dan Ward and Ryne Cough­lin. Kramer pre­vailed 8–6 over Reg­gie Lash­ley at No. 4 sin­gles and com­bined with Jere­miah Jen­nings for an 8–3 win at No. 3 dou­bles.
  On Tues­day, the Wild­cats downed Bran­son 7–2.
  Mahr, Gar­rity, Joey Cum­ming and Evan Clark were sin­gles and dou­bles win­ners.

  On Tues­day, Nixa shut out Reeds Spring 9–0.
  Dou­blin and McDow­ell won their sin­gles matches by an 8–0 count. Dou­blin teamed with Char­lie Fen­wick to win 8–0 at No. 2 dou­bles.
  The Eagles lost only 13 games.

  SPRING­FIELD — Nixa lost 3–2 to Spring­field Glen­dale on Mon­day, before bounc­ing back for an 8–0 tri­umph over Neosho on Tues­day.  
  Jo Pavlowsky and Kesley Bartell scored ver­sus Glen­dale. Lau­ren Moats pro­vided an assist.
  Moats posted two goals and two assists against Neosho. Bartell, Mad­die Chan­dler and Court­ney Frerichs each had a goal and an assist.
  Nixa is 10–3.

Hat trick for Moats in Nixa win (Soc­cer roundup)

  NIXA — Lau­ren Moats col­lected a hat trick in Nixa’s 8–0 Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion tri­umph over Carthage on Tues­day.
  Brit­tany Kirk­patrick added two goals and Court­ney Frerichs, Jor­dyn Hoskins and Kesley Haist each had one. Kelsey Bartell had three assists, while Haist, Ash­lyn Robil­lard, Haylee Wag­ner and Tatum Mangum all had one.
  Kristin Miller posted the shutout as Nixa’s goalkep­per.
  Nixa is 11–3.
Rogersville beats Bolivar
  Rogersville recorded a 5–1 win over Bol­li­var on Tuesday.

Bran­son clinches con­fer­ence cham­pi­onship (Base­ball roundup)

  CARTHAGE — The com­bi­na­tion of Branson’s 23–12 win over Carthage and Neosho’s 4–3 set­back to Nixa on Thurs­day allowed the Pirates to cap­ture the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion cham­pi­onship.
  Bran­son, 6–0 in con­fer­ence play, has at least a two-game lead on the rest of the con­fer­ence with only a home date against Ozark to play on Tues­day.
  Isaac John­ston was 4-for-5 and home­red for the Pirates. Brian Pos­ton home­red for Carthage.
  Nixa ral­lied to beat Neosho by scor­ing two runs in the sev­enth inning.
